    • Flexible Design to Accomodate Shifts in Student Population

Miriam School, dedicated to providing a full-time educational program for unique learners, had grown substantially. Bond Architects worked with Miriam in 2014 to formulate a comprehensive study to plan for needed facility improvements and expansion.

Stemming from this master plan, Bond Architects completed an addition to Miriam School that serves as the new Middle School wing. This wing contains larger, collaborative classrooms infused with the latest technology, lockers, an expanded occupational therapy room and a storm shelter. Comprehensive renovations to a majority of the existing building space also occurred.

Flexible Spaces for Individualized Learning

Multipurpose, lounge and unique breakout spaces were a major feature of the addition and renovation to accommodate more programming and enhance student interaction.

Observation Rooms

Observation rooms with one-way glass were also added to allow for parent or visitor monitoring.
