Bringing New Life to Middle School Windows
Bond Architects designed a replacement for curtain wall windows at Hixson Middle School. Because this wing faces a busy street, it was important to fix a potential eyesore caused by peeling paint and aging units. The replacements better complement the school's new addition constructed a few years previously. Webster Groves residents have complimented the new windows, saying they make the building look like a brand-new school! The savings from improved energy efficiency don’t hurt either.
Establishing Consistent Standards
Bond Architects was engaged by Webster Groves School District to complete a districtwide door and hardware survey. After cataloging every door in every school building, our team used the data gathered to develop a new set of districtwide standards. These new standards will help the district save money on maintenance and improve school security.
