During the master plan and fundraising efforts in 2015, the Miriam community identified the need for a new high school. In January 2016, we began searching for an incubator space that could quickly be converted for the first class of Miriam Academy by August 2016. The education wing of the Parkway United Church of Christ was selected for its location and the relative ease of quickly adapting the space for the Academy’s needs. Finishes were updated to the Miriam brand, and furniture was procured for the first classrooms and administrative offices. After the successful launch of the Academy, the second floor was similarly renovated to support the growth of the program over the next two school years.
Programming for the future Miriam Academy space has been completed. Currently, we are searching for their permanent location.
