LADUE CITY HALL
Ladue City Council wanted to improve security in the existing City Hall, without creating a fortress feeling to the current casual and friendly feel of the facility. Bond Architects completed a number of renovations for City Hall to improve the safety and security while still maintaining the friendly and casual environment.
The staff areas were separated from the public circulation by bullet resistant glass, and transaction counters with pass through trays were added, including a counter at ADA height. The dais was hardened and reinforced with bullet resistant fiberglass clad in walnut paneling. A bullet resistant door and security hardware were also added. These improvements were constructed without disrupting municipal services.
